Oshkosh Corporation Appoints Peter B. Hamilton and Duncan J. Palmer to Board of Directors


OSHKOSH, Wis., Jul 20, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE: OSK), a leading manufacturer of specialty vehicles and vehicle bodies, announced today the appointment of two new, independent directors to its Board of Directors: Peter B. Hamilton, senior vice president and chief financial officer of Brunswick Corporation, and Duncan J. Palmer, senior vice president and chief financial officer of Owens Corning. Both Messrs. Hamilton and Palmer have been appointed to the Audit Committee. With their addition, the Oshkosh Board now consists of 13 directors, 12 of whom are independent.

The appointment of Messrs. Hamilton and Palmer is the outcome of the Oshkosh Board's open and active search for two new directors as disclosed in the company's December 21, 2010 proxy statement.

Peter B. Hamilton

Mr. Hamilton is senior vice president and chief financial officer of Brunswick Corporation, a leading global designer, manufacturer and marketer of recreational products, where he has held leadership positions in operations and finance. Prior to joining Brunswick, Mr. Hamilton served in various positions at Cummins Inc., including chief financial officer. Prior thereto, Mr. Hamilton was a partner in a Washington, D.C. law firm, held a number of senior positions in the federal government and was an officer in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Hamilton received his bachelor's degree from Princeton University and his juris doctor degree from Yale Law School.

Duncan J. Palmer

Mr. Palmer is senior vice president and chief financial officer of Owens Corning, a leading glass fiber company. Prior to Owens Corning, Mr. Palmer spent 20 years at Royal Dutch / Shell Group with positions of increasing responsibility including risk and financial positions.

Mr. Palmer received his bachelor's degree from St. John's College of Cambridge University and his master's degree from Stanford University. In addition, he is a UK Chartered Management Accountant.
